The beach there is not very big and consists of a narrow strip of darker sand than other area beaches due to a nearby river outlet. The beaches in that area used to be nicer before development began there several years ago and a new pier was put up which has apparently caused beach erosion there.
That's why their pictures don't show much... there's not much to show.
But Isla Ixtapa is a quick boat-taxi ride away and yuo and your family should enjoy it very much.
